Funky Fact: The Spouting horn at Cook’s Chasm is called an ocean geyser, created as the ocean waves shoot into a under rock cave, then are forced out the top, like a blow hole.

The spouting horn, on the other hand, is a geyser-like feature located on the southern coast of Oregon. It is formed when waves crash against the rocky shoreline, causing water to be forced through a narrow opening in the rocks. The result is a spectacular display of water shooting up into the air, often reaching heights of up to 30 feet.

Both Thors Well and the spouting horn are popular tourist attractions on the Oregon Coast, and offer unique and breathtaking views of the power of the ocean. They are also great places to experience the natural beauty of the coast and the forces of nature at work.
