Fake Disneyland In China: Shijingshan Amusement Park

Upon entering the park, visitors are greeted by a large replica of the famous Disneyland castle. The park also features a Main Street USA area, complete with a replica of the famous Main Street Parade.

One of the most notable copied attractions is the “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride, which is nearly identical to the original version at Disneyland. However, the ride is not without its differences, as it features characters from Chinese mythology and history instead of the traditional pirate characters, you may also see topless mermaids if you look closely up at the top of the mountain ride.

In addition to the copied attractions, the park also has its own original rides and shows. These include a roller coaster, a 3D cinema, and a water park. Roaming the park are knock-off Disney characters such as wanna be Roger Rabbit and a awful fake Shrek.

Roger Rabbit Knock-Off

Despite the park’s reputation as a knockoff, it is still a popular destination for both locals and tourists. However, it has faced criticism and legal issues for its use of copied characters and attractions.

Many parts of the park are blocked off and under repair. Behind us is the replica Disney Castle that was blocked off during out visit for repainting. It looked great from far away but was in much need of some TLC.

Despite the controversy surrounding it, Shijingshan Amusement Park is an interesting and unique destination for those interested in exploring the world of theme parks. It provides a unique perspective on Chinese culture and how it is incorporated into the theme park experience. Whether or not it is a true representation of Disneyland, it is an attraction worth visiting for those in the Beijing area.
