- Choose the Right Snorkeling Gear

ALWAYS spend about an hour or so familiarizing yourself with the local marine life. Know what poisonous or dangerous creatures you may encounter including sea snakes, eels, snarks, or jellyfish. It’s a good idea to have a first aid kit on the boat.
9. Lifejacket!
Wear a Life Jacket while snorkeling! I live to wear my lifejack and bring along a cheap inflatable ring to hold onto when I start to feel fatgue set in.
