Santa Hunt:
Funky Fact: The Santa figurines are 13-inches tall and vintage from 1968, made via a blow-mold.

If you’re in Portland, Oregon this holiday season, be on the lookout for the Santa Clones!
For the past few years, Portland, Oregon has been home to an incredible art installation known as the Santa Clones. This year, the installation has reached new heights with 400 little statues of Santa Claus on display.
The installation was created by local designer Chris Willis, who wanted to create an optical illusion that would leave visitors feeling like they were surrounded by hundreds of Santa Clauses. To do this, Willis placed the statues in a room with a giant mirror on one side, effectively doubling the number of Santas on display to 800!
To find this installation you’ll need to follow the designer on one of his social media platforms and decipher his secret message to find the location.

As you peek through the glass and view the installation, you’ll witness a glowing sea of Santa Clauses. The statues are all dressed in traditional red and white Santa suits and made from plastic injected into a blow mold.
But it’s not just the sheer number of Santas that make this installation so special. It’s the attention to detail that makes the installation perfection. Each Santa is aligned with absolute perception and face in the exact same diffraction. The repetition makes for a beautiful geometric pattern.
As you study the installation, you’ll also notice that the mood changes throughout the day. I personally loved viewing it at night. The Santas bath the room in warm, cozy light, it also illuminates the area surrounded the room with a festive glow.

For visitors to Portland, the Santa Clones installation is a must-see attraction. Whether you’re a fan of art installations, Christmas, or simply want to experience something truly unique, this is an experience you won’t want to miss. So if you’re in town this holiday season, be sure to stop by and check out the Santa Clones on display after Thanksgiving and through till Christmas.
